As part of its goal to update the National Soil and Water Resources Research and Development/Extension (NSWRRD/E) Agenda CY 2023-2028, the DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM), through its Soil and Water Resources Research Division (SWRRD) headed by Ms. Karen S. Bautista, Ph.D., is currently conducting a Consultation Workshop with the Visayas Group. The activity is being held today, 14 March 2023, at the DA-BSWM Lopez Convention Hall.

The Consultation Workshop is organized in a hybrid format attended by the DA-Regional Field Offices from the Visayas group, other National Government Agencies, various Non-governmental Organizations, representatives from the Academe, and BSWM staff.

Topics that are being discussed in the Consultation Workshop are: the Status of the Philippine Soil Resources – by Mr. Dante E. Margate, Ph.D; the Status of the Philippine Water Resources – by Engr. Patrick Benson B. Espanto; and the Process for the Updating of the NSWRRD/E 2017-2022 & Draft of the NSWRRD/E 2023-2028 Framework – by Ms. Karen S. Bautista.
