The month of June is annually dedicated to the observance of the “Soil Conservation Month” to promote the conservation, development and management of soil and water as important resources for sustainable agricultural development. The observance is pursuant to the administrative Order No. 16, Series of 2007 signed by Arthur C. Yap.

As we continuously pursue advocacies to achieve the goal of this annual celebration, relevant institutions are instructed to undertake activities (e.g. forum, seminar, training, and tree planting) that will support this year’s theme “Let’s Conserve our Soils and Ensure Growth for the Future” which is also aligned to the observance of the World Day to Combat Desertification (WDCD) on June 17, 2019 with this year’s theme “Let’s Grow the Future Together”. We are also required to display streamer/or tarpaulin in front of our respective offices bearing the theme of this year celebration.

For your guidance, attached is the design for the tarpaulin (in png format) (Warning! Large file size). The dimension should be in 64 inches x 48 inches. For more information and queries, please contact the Bureau of Soils and Water Management through the Soil Conservation and Management Division (SCMD) at Tel. No. 923-04-59 or email address: and
